Breaking: Masked Gun -Wielding Robbers Attack Man In Ilorin, Escape With Millions

Three-man gang of robbers attacked an unidentified man at Lajorin Street not far from the State High Court in Ilorin this afternoon (Tuesday) and went away with amount running into Millions of Naira.

The robbers who reportedly wielded sophisticated arms had trailed the victim, a middle aged man dressed in Jalabia, to Lajorin Street.

An eyewitness informed National Pilot that the robbers probably ” trailed the man from the bank. As his vehicle approached the junction that leads to Olanrewaju hospital, the robbers, who had been trailing him, just overtook his vehicle in great speed and forced him to stop. They alighted from their vehicle and dragged the man out. Two of them pointed their guns at him and shouted at him not to resist or raise alarm otherwise they will shoot him. The man quickly obeyed and raised his hands. The robbers took out the money which was in a bag and drove away”, recounted, the eyewitness.

The whole street was deserted while the operation which took less than five minutes lasted as people around had scampered into safety. Approaching motorists and motorcyclists were also said to have abandoned their vehicles and ran for dear lives.

” It was like watching a movie. I have never seen a live robbers like this before in my life”, the eyewitness said.
