Veteran Nollywood Actress Peju Ogunmola Loses Only Child ** Nollywood throws into mourning 

Renowned Yoruba Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola-Omobolanle has  lost her only child, Oluwashina Ayomikun.

Ayomikun who was also the only child between Peju and her husband, veteran actor, Sunday Omobolanle popularly called Aluwe, died in a bathroom accident on Monday.

The 26-year old son of the Nollywood couple reportedly slipped and fell, and despite efforts to reach out for help, he could not be rescued on time.

The incident occurred while the 56-year-old actress was on a movie set.

The painful incident has left many speechless, given how unexpectedly it occurred

The tragic loss has since thrown the entire Nollywood into mourning

The loss comes just months after Shina successfully completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, a milestone that had filled his mother with pride.

Sources close to the family disclosed that Ayomikun, was living abroad and was alone at the time of the accident. Peju Ogunmola, who is based in Ibadan, is said to be completely shattered by the tragic loss.

Known for her strength and resilience in both her career and personal life, those close to her say this particular blow has left her inconsolable.

The shocking news was first shared by actor, Odunlade Adekola, whose post triggered an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans.

Many have since flooded Peju Ogunmola’s social media pages with prayers and tributes, leaving the Nollywood community in mourning.

The seasoned actress, daughter of the late Yoruba theatre icon Kola Ogunmola has long been celebrated for her unwavering passion for acting.

Sadly, her world has now been shattered by this devastating loss, drawing an outpouring of prayers and sympathy from fans.

Colleagues across Nollywood have also flooded social media with messages of condolence, describing Ayomikun’s death as a painful blow not only to his mother but to everyone whose lives he touched.
