Buhari to Be Buried in Daura Monday

Former President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried on Monday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
According to a report by TVC, Buhari, who died at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at a clinic in London while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness, will be laid to rest tomorrow in accordance with Islamic rites.
His former media spokesman, Garba Shehu, confirmed the news of his passing via a post on his official X account on Sunday evening.
President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of his predecessor and has dispatched Vice President Kashim Shettima to London. Shettima is expected to accompany Buhari’s body back to Nigeria for the funeral.
Preparations are ongoing in Daura for the burial, which will draw dignitaries, political associates, and sympathizers from across the country.
