Election: Christians urged to be prayerful

 

Christians have been called upon to pray fervently for success of the forthcoming election and peace to reign thereafter.
A Cleric, Pastor Isaac Bada made the call yesterday in his sermon delivered at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, Kwara State.
Pastor Bada who spoke on the topic “Confidence in God,” stressed the need for believers to move closer to their creator at this period.
He, however, implored Christians not to be wary rather stand firm in their faith, for them to have breakthrough in all of their undertakings.
Similarly, Nigerians have been advised to seek God intervention for the nation to survive the current hard times.
The Minister in charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Amoyo, Pastor Segun James who gave the advice in his sermon also called on the people to look unto God at all times to overcome all challenges of life.
Pastor James said for any Christian to be victorious, such must move closer to God.
Also speaking on the Topic “I am doing a new thing”, Reverend James Adedoyin, of ECWA Ita Elepa, Ilorin prayed that the Lord would restore the hope of the nation based on His promised to the people.
Reverend Adedoyin called on the people to forget their past suffering as God has promised to do new things in their life and in their home.
The Cleric charged Christians to worship God wholeheartedly as He has promised to set them free from bondages and give them victory.
Also, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church Off Yidi Road, Ilorin in his message titled “Pray for the Nation” called on Nigerians to always intercede for the nation to ensure the success of the forthcoming general elections.
The Primate of the Resolution Church of Christ National headquarters off Coca Cola road, Ilorin, Dr Martins Olobatoke urged Nigerians to continue to live in peace with one another.
Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina enjoined Christians to let the fear of God be paramount in their heart in whatever they do.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo cautioned those seeking political post to eschew any act that are inimical to the development of the nation and trust only the living God.
Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C.A.C Anu sogo lorimi, Kilanko, Ilorin advised Christians to faithfully walk with God.
Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin emphasised the need for Nigerians to always remember their leaders in prayer and do away with bad utterances.


…as Baba Aladura condemns political thuggery by youths

The Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church World wide, Most Reverend Prophet Samuel Abidoye has decried political thuggery by youths.
In his New Year message, the cleric warned the politicians against turning the youth into political thugs.
He called on  politicians in the country  to play the game according to the rules and avoid politics of bitterness as the nation prepares for another election this year.
The spiritual father urged Nigerians to pray that God should give the nation leaders that would bring its economy back on course.
The cleric  said that Nigeria is a great Nation and its lost glory will be restored,   urging Nigerians to be patient and continue to pray for its success, peace and unity.
