Wealthy Kwarans should complement govt efforts to reduce poverty

The founder of Aigoro Foundation, Alhaji Mashood Bolakale-Aigoro has called on Kwarans and well-meaning Nigerians to complement government’s effort in the area of poverty alleviation to reduce the rate of hardship in the country.

He made the call while speaking with newsmen at a financial empowerment programme for fifty people organized by his foundation.

Bolakale-Aigoro, who is the president of the Kwara State Indigenous Contractors said poverty in the country is so heartbreaking that government alone cannot tackle it hence the need for individuals who are affluent to come together to lift the people out of it.

According to him, the cash revolving scheme by his foundation is designed to empower market men and women with non-interest loan from twenty thousand naira to one million naira depending on the beneficiaries’ ability to pay back in good time.

He however enjoined the people of the state to support the present administration under the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s led administration to move the state forward.

In his remark, the chairman Aigoro Foundation, Comrade Jimoh Idris said the aim of the foundation is to alleviate poverty, which he said had become a major issue of concern in both the state and the nation.

Speaking with newsmen, some of the beneficiaries appreciated the founder for the gesture and charged him to sustain the tempo.
