The Minister-in-Charge of Calvary Baptist Church, Ilorin, Revd.
Francis Oladipo, has urged the body of Christ to be weary of devils’
handiwork at all times.
The clergyman noted this, yesterday, while preaching on the birth of
Jesus and the attempt to terminate his life.
Oladipo, who preached through the book of Matthew 2:1-12, stressed
that anyone leaving outside the will of God is not safe.
He said because Jesus Christ was born with great promise to save the
world, King Herod who sought to kill him could not succeed.
According to him, as some people rejoiced over the birth of Jesus
Christ, Kind Herod was not pleased with the development, hence, sough
to kill him.
Oladipo stressed that three wise men visited the King at Bethlehem and
also gifted Him, King Herod’s who was not pleased with the birth
planned to cut off Jesus’s life so that the purpose of God will not
come to pass.
He added that instead of the three wise ones who went to visit Jesus
Christ to return to the King Herod with the news, they went in another
way.
Oladipo however urged Christians be prayerful at all times so as to
avert antics of the enemies.
According to him, as 2019 is winding up, put on all the armours of
God, to dispell devil’s plan that is not of God.
Oladipo however prayed for the congregation that the coming year will
be greater and that every plan of the evil ones will not come to pass.
