A Cleric, Pastor Ademola Popoola has stressed that the role of women as home makers and in nation building cannot be over emphasised.
In his sermon delivered at the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, Kwara State, on Sunday, he noted that charity begins at home, stating that the women play significant role in how their children turn out in future.
He said since children are regarded as leaders of tomorrow, it is incumbent on parents particularly mothers to set them on the right path in order to be able to contribute their quota to nation building in future.
Speaking on the Topic “Virtuous woman”, Pastor Popoola called on women to be ready to make sacrifices in the task of building their home.
The Cleric described women as the crown of their husband, urging them to exhibit good character and be holy, imploring them to desist from sin and be wise in building their home as good mothers.
Pastor Popoola stated that a virtuous woman among others is blessed, peaceful, have high regards for family values and above all respects and supports her husband.
Also speaking on the Theme: “Rolling away the shame of your slavery” at the Second ECWA, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, yesterday, Reverend Joseph Agboluaje, noted that the Almighty God would never abandon his people forever as He always give the faithful opportunity to repent and change for the better.
Reverend Agboluaje who is the Minister -in -charge of Second ECWA, Shao, however, enjoined the incoming Government in Kwara State to learn from the past and do the needful in order to ensure better welfare for the people.
He urged the government to ensure equity and fairness in order to ensure an egalitarian society and peaceful coexistence among the citizenry
Similarly, Christians have again been called upon to always examine their life critically and make amendswhere necessary for the purpose of making heaven at the end of their Christian race on earth.
A Cleric, Pastor Segun James of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Amoyo, Kwara State in his message, on Sunday, said those who want to succeed in life would run the Christian race with focus of making heaven.
Also in his message titled “Vessel unto honour”, Pastor Isaac Gbemiga Adesina of Kingdom Seed Assembly, Sapati Ile, Phase two, Ilorin advised Christians to be vessel of honour in the hands of God by running away from sins and filthiness of the world.
However, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church off Yidi Road Ilorin who spoke on the topic “Live to please God” has called on Nigerians to walk in obedience to the word of God and do what is right and just.
Pastor Aransiola encouraged them to live a life of holiness, integrity and uprightness.
Primate Martins Olobatoke of the Resolution Church of Christ National headquarters off Coca Cola road, Ilorin, in his sermon yesterday, emphasised the need for Christians to imbibe the lessons of the ongoing Lenten period.
On his part, Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina called on Christians to refrain from sin and let the word of God be their guiding principle.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo, has enjoined Nigerians no matter their religious affiliation to love others and pray for continuous peaceful environment to facilitate more development in the state.
Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C A C Anusogo lorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin has appealed to faithful to be focused and serve God diligently so as to reign with Christ in the hereafter.
Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin warned youth against evil, calling on them to put in their best for the overall development of their immediate community.
