Muslim model school, Idi-Ori, holds wolimat for 20

 

The Muslim Model Secondary School, Idi-Ori Ilorin the Kwara State capital, last Thursday held its 4th Wolimat ceremony for 20 students.

The graduands comprised eight boarding and 12 day students of the school.

The students were certified by the proprietor of the school, Hon. Justice Muttalib Ahmad Ambali to have completed and mastered the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

Speaking at the event, the Principal of the school, Mallam  Abdulhakeem Agbetola said, “Our motive as a Model Muslim School is to ensure at all cost that our students completed and mastered the recitation of the Holy Quran as well as memorise some selected Surat of the Glorious Quran.”

Speaking further, he said, the proprietor being a renowned Islamic scholar lays emphasis on giving all categories of students sound and balanced education.

He however added that the school’s timetable is designed in such a way that Quranic class does not in any way affect the western education.

Agbetola added that, “Students in the hostel are giving additional advantage such that competent and God-fearing Quranic teacher is employed to take them through memorisation of the Quran before daybreak and in the evening.”

He however assured that the school will continue to ensure qualitative Quranic and western knowledge for its students as well as training them in character.
