Reverend James Adedoyin of ECWA Ita Elepa, llorin, Kwara State has condemned the prevalence of ritual killings in the nation.
In a sermon titled “Who draw the sword, will die by the sword”, advised people to desist from crime particularly taking another person’s life, saying that “the word of God made it clear that thou shall not kill.”
He tasked law enforcement agencies and the judiciary to act accordingly so as to stem the trend and bring perpetrators to justice.
The Cleric called on the people to allow the fear of God to take absolute control of their life and stop the wanton killings before judgement comes.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have again been urged to refrain from violence and other acts capable of truncating democratic structures in the country ahead of the general elections.
Pastor Segun James of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Imole, Amoyo who gave the advise yesterday, charged Nigerians to collectively work together towards ensuring violence free elections as no meaningful development could be attained in an unfriendly environment and society.
Pastor Taiye Aransiola of United Evangelical Miracle Church, Off Yidi Road Ilorin in his message titled “inspiration” admonished Christians to be source of Inspiration as believer in Jesus Christ to others.
In his message while rounding off the Church 18th anniversary and thanksgiving with the theme “supernatural expansion”, Prophet Peter Kolawole Williams of the C A C Faith Chapel along Asa-Dam Road, Ilorin cautioned Christians against acts that could hinder their requests from God.
Also speaking at this year’s, Church harvest, Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin appealed to Christian faithful to use their talents and wealth to worship God wholeheartedly as all power belongs to Him alone.
Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C &S Movement Church, lpetu-lgbomina enjoined Christians to do away with acts that would not allow them to reign with Jesus Christ at the end of their journey.
Also speaking at the on-going 50 days fasting and prayer, Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo, emphasised the need for Nigerians to look unto God as He is able to do all things
