A middle aged commercial motorcyclist, Olamide Moshood, has been arrested by men of the Kwara State police command for recklessness and causing death of his passenger, penultimate Sunday.
It was gathered that the suspect, Moshood, who was riding an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, hit a Peugeot 206 with registration number NY 216 KJA as a result of recklessness.
According to a police source, “The suspect defied traffic rule and had headlong collision with a vehicle driven by one Dapo Abdulwaheed along Irewolede road, Ilorin, Kwara State.
“His passenger, Christiana Aina somersaulted and hit the windscreen of the vehicle. She sustained serious injuries and later gave up the ghost while receiving treatment in a hospital.
“The commercial motorcyclist also sustained injuries from the accident,” the source added.
