A former member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Asa Local government, Alhaji Isiaka Labaeka has condemned Hijab crisis rocking the state.
In a chat with our reporter at the weekend, he said there was more to the crisis than meet the eyes.
“I doubt if Hijab is the only issue. I belief there is something behind it. I don’t believe Hijab can cause any problem.
“Maybe the Christians want to take back the schools from government. That’s my own thinking.”
Labaeka added that everybody should be allowed to dress according to their own religion.
“Religion should not cause any riot and disturbances of lives and property.”
He advised both the Christian and Muslims to be patience and wait for the outcome of the court.
“Once the issue is with the court, they should wait for the final judgement ”
Labaeka also charged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to learn from the past administration on how they managed the hijab crisis.
“For the past 20 years we have been having governors, government upon government. They have been trying to manage the matter.
“I think Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq too should be able to manage the crisis. I pray God will give him wisdom to settle the matter”
